What is the Independent Analyst Platform?

The Independent Analyst Platform is an informal organization of independent analysts. Each year, a three-day event is organized where the analysts meet with vendors. At these events, the vendors inform independent analysts about their new technologies, ideas, products, and developments. In addition, the vendors get a chance to brief the analysts personally and organize demo's.

The participating analysts are based in the USA, Europe, Canada, and Australia. All the analysts are considered to be top experts in their areas. They are considered by the market to be key influencers. All off them are invited regularly to present keynotes. You will find their articles in many IT magazines and newspapers. Most of them have written books that are published world wide. Together, they have blogs that are read by thousands of people daily. To summarize, they represent a magnificent force of exposure. This is the perfect platform for every vendor to present their new products and technologies. Each vendor wants these people to know what they are doing, what their new products and technologies look like, and what their plans and strategies are.

What is an independent analyst? An independent analyst is someone who does not work for a software or hardware vendor. Additionally, he or she should not work for one of the larger analysts groups.
